  1. The Board recognized Mr. Randy Alwood who had a request for information on the 1995 Tandem Truck bidding process.
  2. Then recognized was Lee Ann Meinold, Superintendent and Board Members Chuck Johnson and Mike Gruber from Hollis Grade School with a request for assistance on the construction of a 400 meter running track. They are looking into land acquisition. The Board decided to consider their request and will bring this up at a future meeting.
  3. Then recognized was Mr. and Mrs. Ron Osborn of Astle Lane, Mapleton who requested assistance with a stop sign problem and the removal of a structure which is located on nearby property. They were informed that this was under the Village jurisdiction but possibly contact could be made with the Mayor of Mapleton for assistance.
• Town Business
  1. The annual Treasurer's report was presented to the Board.
  2. The Board was notified that the Auditors will be attending the October 25, 2007 meeting.
  3. There was a brief discussion on the upcoming 2010 census.
  4. There was an update on the upcoming Annual Educational Conference to be held in Springfield, Ill. on Nov. 11th thru Nov. 13th 2007.
  5. Information was presented on the Truth in Taxation determination levies to be approved at the Oct. 25th, 2007 meeting and adopted at the Nov 29th, 2007 meeting.
• Road Business
  1. Information was presented on the Gerdes Road project, the pending truck bids and an update on an injury which had happened to a road district employee.
