MINUTES SPECIAL BUDGET HEARING MEETINGS

THURSDAY, MAY 29, 2014 @ 7:00 P.M and 7:15 P.M.

After the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag, the Supervisor will call the meeting to order @ 7:00 P.M. at the Hollis Town Hall, 6430 West Wheeler Road, Mapleton, Illinois 61547.

Board Members Present:

Supervisor Gary W. Thomas; Clerk Kelsey A. Archer, and Trustees: William J. Gerdes, James E. Bailey and Brian B. Fengel. Trustee Tal B. Beckman was excused.

The Supervisor announced a quorum was present.

The Road Commissioner Dennis R. Beckman and the Tax Assessor Alice B. Dailey attended this meeting.

Visitor: none. .

Copies of the "FINAL" Budget & Appropriation ORDINANCE NO. 2014~06 for the Township of Hollis were presented to Board Members.

Fiscal Year April 1, 2014 - March 31, 2015

Only 1 change was made to the Tentative Budget - see page 3. Other Expenditures

Line Item 11579 - change the wording from Hollis Cemetery Restoration Organization

to read: CEMETERY ASSISTANCE

A MOTION to adopt ORDINANCE NO. 2014~06 / Budget and Appropriation Ordinance

FOR THE TOWNSHIP OF HOLLIS

for the fiscal year beginning April 1, 2014 and ending March 31, 2015.

Motion Brian Fengel; second Bill Gerdes. The motion passed with all ayes on a roll call vote.

Copies of the "FINAL" Budget & Appropriation ORDINANCE NO. 2014~07 for the Single Township Road District of Hollis Township were presented to Board Members.

FOR THE SINGLE TOWNSHIP ROAD DISTRICT OF HOLLIS

Fiscal Year April 1, 2014 - March 31, 2015.

Trustee Bailey, referring to the “Laws & Duties Handbook”, noted when we are accumulating funds for new equipment we are required to name specific equipment purchase goals.

Therefore, the Road Commissioner amended the following expenditures in the Tentative Budget:

GENERAL ROAD FUND - page 4. Equipment, Line Item 33562: ADD WHEEL LOADER

EQUIPMENT & BUILDING FUND - page 5. Equipment, Line Item 40562: ADD

ONE TON TRUCK PLUS EQUIPMENT (SNOW PLOW & SALT SPREADER)

& NEW TANDEM PLUS EQUIPMENT (SNOW PLOW & SALT SPREADER)

A MOTION to adopt ORDINANCE NO. 2013~07 / Budget and Appropriation Ordinance

FOR THE SINGLE TOWNSHIP ROAD DISTRICT OF HOLLIS TOWNSHIP

for the fiscal year beginning April 1, 2014 and ending March 31, 2015.

Motion Brian Fengel; second Jim Bailey. The motion passed with all ayes on a roll call vote.

NOTE: WITHIN 30 DAYS OF ADOPTION, THE TOWN & ROAD BUDGETS MUST BE FILED WITH THE PEORIA COUNTY CLERK

A MOTION to adjourn made by Jim Bailey; second Bill Gerdes. The Motion to adjourn passed unanimously. Meeting adjourned at 7:28 P.M.
