• Building, Grounds, Equipment
    1. The Board discussed the repair and or replacement of the faulty light on the maintanance building.
    2. The board was informed that the gutters had been cleaned where necessary on the town hall. Additional work may be needed in the future.
  • Communications and Correspondence
    1. The Board idscussed the meeting held Thurs. Dec. 13, 2007 at the Peoric County Dept. of Planning and Zoning. Two hearings were to be held. The first on property owned by Caterpillar Tractor Co. The Supervisor stated it is almost certain to be approved. The second on the rezoning of 206 acres proposed for the development of an ethanol/biofuel plant was postponed.
    2. The Supervisor stated he had attended the CF Industries hearing on Dec. 19th 2007 at the Peoria County Board of Review. A decision will follow at a later date.
  • Road Business
    1. The Road Commissioner stated that the board attorney is still working on the Cilco Lane/Carri-Scharf issue.
    2. The Road Commissioner reported that Mr. McCabe's medical condition continues to improve.
    3. The Road Commissioner requested the the use of caller ID. be considered as an addition to the phone system.
    4. The Road Commissioner stated he is having a problem with the acquisition of road salt through Peoria County. He is in contact with Logan and Limestone townships for a possible co-op plan to acquire salt. This is pending
    5. The Road Commissioner stated some problems have occured with some equipment during the last snow storm.
  • Trustees
    1. Trustee Fengel presented materials he had received from Mr. Larry Stranz concerning the history of Hollis Township.
