• Communications and Correspondence
  1. The schedule of meetings for PCTOA was presented.
  2. A report on the PCTOA meeting from Wed March 26, 2008 was not available.
  3. A letter from Dave Ryan, Supervisor of assessments, Peoria County was presented for review.
• Town Business
  1. An update on the continuing Census work was presented.
  2. An update on the tentative budgets for fiscal year 2008-2009 was reviewed.
  3. Information on the TORIMA refund was presented.
• Road District
  1. The Road ommissioner gave an update on the current situation with Carri-Scharff Inc. and noted that there has been no activity as yet on the needed road repairs.
  2. He also gave an update on Mr. Keith McCabe injury.
  3. He also gave an update on the salt expense through Jan. 22, 2008 and some of the expected costs for the next season.
• Trustee
  1. A brief discussion was held on the tentative building of an ethanol plant in the Pekin bottoms area.
  2. It was also noted that the Peoria County Sheriffs Dept. is patrolling the Pekin bottoms area.
  3. Discussed also was the status of the old Caterpillar Plant in Mapleton and a possible tour scheduled for those interested in attending.
  4. The agenda for the annual town meeting was also approved.
