• Visitors
    1. Mr. Patrick Urich, Peoria County Administrator and Mr. Eric Bush, Peoria County Financial Officer were recognized. They presented information about the old Caterpillar Foundry as it pertains to Peoria County. They also stated that a TIF District is being considered to finance the needed infrastructure. They stated Hollis Township would be kept informed of the ongoing status of this project.
  • Communications & Correspondence
    1. A letter was presented from Peoria County concerning the NACO Prescription drug program.
    2. A letter was also presented on the upcoming Fall 2008 Leadership program.
  • Road Business
    1. The Board was informed that the Corps of Engineers is now involved in the Carri-Scharf/Cilco Lane dispute.
    2. The Road Commissioner stated a problem has been noted on the type of oil being used by the county to seal-coat the roads in the county.
    3. The Road Commissioner also stated that the surveillance camera had been stolen from S. Cameron Lane but it may be possible to recover this camera.
  • Trustees
    1. Trustee Fengel stated he is working with Mr. Robert Spears concerning the acquisition of information on the fines which are levied in Hollis Township.
    2. Also discussed was the missing road sign on airport road. This is posted by Peoria County.
    3. The Board also discussed additional landscaping around the town hall. It was decided to continue the present policy with a future plan to be considered.
