Per e-mail from our Tax Assessor, Alice Dailey, she has requested we provide the following information to our Web Page.
The Assessor’s Office would like to make sure every property owner is receiving the appropriate exemption on their owner property.
There are (3) primary exemptions available:

The Senior Homestead Exemption – One time application and automatic renewal at age 65.

The Senior Citizen Assessment Freeze – Renewal application annually for qualified senior homestead with a household income of $65,000.00 or less.

Owner occupied Exemption (HRE) automatically applied at time of purchase for permanent residence.
NOTE: The Township Assessor does not tax but places a value (assessment) based on sales on all property and helps administer exemptions. Other exemptions are available, such as for veterans and disability. Please call our office for further information.
