• Visitors
    1. The Board recognized Mrs. Beth Coats who expressed an interest to serve Hollis Township as a contract tax assessor. She is currently serving Timber Township in this capacity. The Board stated it will review this and will make a decision in the near future.

  • Communications & Correspondence
    1. A Brief report was given by those attending the elections seminar held at the Law Offices of Heyl, Royster, Voelker and Allen on December 2, 2008. It was noted that another similar meeting will tentatively be scheduled for the month of February of 2009 for those interested in attending.
    2. The Board reviewed a complaint received from Caterpillar Inc. regarding their commercial industrial property in Hollis Township.
    3. The Board discussed a problem with the change over of telephone vendors. This is being resolved.
  • Road Business
    1. The Road Commissioner explained the difference in the salt mixture being used and the application of same. More information will follow on the results.
    2. The Road Commissioner gave a brief report on an accident which had occured with the boom mower.
    3. The Road Commissioner stated a call had been received from a resident about an icing problem on his road. Bot due to the fact that this is not a dedicated township road nothing could be done to correct this problem.
  • Trustees
    1. The Board held a brief discussion on the considering of a furnace replacement at the town hall and the installation of a programmable thermostat. No action taken at this time.
    2. The Board also discussed the pending bil-diesel plant and the on-going dismantling of the old Caterpillar foundry.
