• Communications & Correspondence
    1. Information was presented and reservations were noted for the Local Officials Day at the Illinois State Fair Aug. 15, 2009 at Springfield and the Officials Day at Duquoin State Fairgrounds for Aug. 29, 2009.
  • Town Business
    1. The Supervisor informed the Board that the Auditor Dave Bauman from Willock Warning & Co. will be in the township offices on Aug. 17 & 18, 2009 to conduct the annual audit for fiscal year ending March 31, 2009.
  • Road Business
    1. The Road Commissioner stated that the scheduled roads for seal-coating should be finished by this week.
    2. The road crew continues working with the Durapatcher machine.
    3. The mowing of the roadsides should be caught up this week
    4. The Road Commissioner stated he had received a Fax from the township attorney stating $20,000 will be requested from Carrie-Scharf Trucking for settlement of the Cilco Lane dispute.
    5. The Road Commissioner stated he is working on a proposal for property acquisition request to present to Mr. Dan Juneman at 8010 S. McCumber Rd. to possibly correct a road safety issue.
    6. The Road Commissioner and the Board discussed a possible intergovernmental agreement for the mowing of the LaMarsh Drainage Dist. Levee. No action at this time.
  • Trustees
    1. Trustee Fengel presented a sample letter drafted by the Village of Bartonville for passing a concealed carry permit for qualified indviduals. More information at a future meeting.
    2. He also stated that the 'Tractor' sign has disappeared again at Cassidy and Airport Road. The Supervisor is to look into acquiring another sign from Peoria County.
    3. The Board discussed the effectiveness of the police patrols on S. Cameron Lane. No action at this time.
    4. Also brought up were the following House and Senate Bills which were printed in the July and August issue of the Perspective magazine. HB-621, HB476, and SB-49.
  • Tax Assessor
    1. The Supervisor presented a letter from the Peoria County Board of Assessments concerning complaints with a request for Board review and discussion at a future meeting if necessary.
  • New Business
    1. Approval was passed for payment for General Assistance Training Seminar to be held Sept. 30-Oct. 1, 2009 and for a Trustees Education Seminar to be held Sat. Aug 29, 2009, also for The Township Annual Conference to be held Nov. 8th through the 10th 2009.
    2. The contract list was presented from the LaMarsh Drainage Dist. The error for the contact person for the township was corrected.
    3. The Supervisor stated that the Peoria County Health Dept. has been notified concerning the problems with the property at 6915 W. Wheeler Rd. Mapleton.
