• Town Building, Grounds, and Equipment
    1. The Road Commissioner stated that the flag pole light is still not working properly and will possibly replace both the light and fixture in the near future.
    2. It was also noted that landscaping work has been done at the South side of the town hall.
  • Communications & Correspondence
    1. A notice has been received from the Peoria County Dept. of Planning and Zoning concerning a residents request for a special use permit for property on Reed City Road.
    2. Membership cards and window stickers were presented from the Township Officials of Illinois
    3. Also Prevailing Wage Act information was received and reviewed.
  • Town Business
    1. The Supervisor presented the annual Treasurer's Report for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2009.
    2. The Board discussed the Truth in Taxation determination and the upcoming levies for the Oct. 29, 2009 meeting.
  • Road Business
    1. The Road Commissioner stated that the road crew has been able to catch up with the road-side mowing
    2. He also stated that the concrete gutters were completed on West Summit Road and on Hollis Road near Hubbard Lane.
    3. The Board discussed the burnt structure on Tuscarora Road and asked the Supervisor to check into the status of this property.
    4. The Road Commissioner informed the Board that he had an unscheduled meeting with Joe Scharf. Mr. Sharf stated he felt a settlement was close on this dispute.
    5. The Road Commissioner stated he plans to start repair work on the LaMarsh Creek Bridge sometime this fall.
  • Trustees
    1. The Board discussed the sealcoating of the parking lot by the town hall. The Road Commissioner was requested to try the Dur-A-Patch machine prior to any sealcoating.
    2. The Board discussed the proposed Resolution 2009-01. After which a motion was made and approved supporting this concealed carry of a firearm resolution.
  • New Business
    1. The Board recognized Mr. Jim Warning and Mr. Dave Bauman from Willock Warning Accounting who reviewed the yearly audit with the Board.
    2. The Board was presented information concerning the H1N1 virus.
