• Town Business
    1. The Board disucssed briefly the seal-coating which had been done on the parking area around the town hall but determined that it was not possible to evaluate this project at this time.
  • Communications & Correspondence
    1. Invitation has been received for those interested in attending a seminar to be held Oct. 30th, 2009 in Bloomington, Ill. This is being sponsored by Ancil Glink who concentrate on law relating to govermental issues.
    2. Information was presented from the County of Peoria Emergency Management Agency in Brimfield concerning Countywide Tactical Communications.
    3. Information also was presented from the Peoria County Administrators Office regarding the 2010 Census.
    4. The Supervisor presented information for TIO on proposed Cemetery Oversite Act Legislation for the State of Il.
    5. The Supervisor also presented a notice from the American Public Works Association for a Conference to be held May 5-10, 2009 at the Peoria Civic Center.
  • Road Business
    1. The Road Commissioner stated that the mowing has been completed for this season.
    2. He also left information that plans are being made to seal bridge decks and railings before foul weather sets in.
    3. Also the next priority is the maintenance of snow plowing equipment.
    4. Also that the Carri-Scharf dispute is going forward with a lawsuit.
    5. Information was presented on the increased cost of salt for the upcoming season.
    6. And also information of a 'stop-line' at two locations in Mapleton is being considered by IDOT for painting.
  • Trustees
    1. An update was presented on Public-Act 096-0279 concerning off-highway vehicles.
  • Old Unfinished Business
    1. The supervisor presented to the Board an update on the fire damaged house located on Tuscarora Road.
  • New Business
    1. Tax Levies were established and approved for both the Township Fund and the Road District Funds for the Tax Year 2009, collectable in 2010.
