    1. Chad and Buddy Turner addressed the Board and briefly explained their request for a zoning variance on property located at 5025 W. Chippewa Road. No action needed by the Board.
  • Town Building, Grounds, & Equipment
    1. The Road Commissioner stated that seal-coating will be able to be done around the town hall building by the Peoria County Highway Dept. in the near future.
    2. The Board was informed that the repair work to the siding on the town hall may be completed during the week of May 24, 2010.
    3. Also it wsa noted that the flag has been replaced.
  • Communications & Correspondence
    1. Reports were given from those who attended the Peoria County Township Officials meeting held May 26, 2010.
    2. A request was reviewed from Roger Larson the Peoria County Extension Office Director for the opportunity to address the Board. This will be offered at an upcoming meeting.
    3. A letter was received from Representative Mike Smith announcing a meeting to be held on Tues. June 1, 2010 in Pekin, Il. for those interested in attending.
    4. The Board then discussed a variance request from Mrs. Donna J. Alvarez concerning property at the corner of Rt. 24 and Cameron Lane. No action taken by the Board.
  • Town Business
    1. The Supervisor informed the Board that permits have tentatively been issued for the demolition of the burned house on Tuscarora Road.
    2. Information was also reviewed concerning assistance available from the Neighborhood House.
  • Clerk Business
    1. The Clerk informed the Board that his FOIA Certification has passed.
  • Road Business
    1. The Road Commissioner informed the Board that roadside mowing is behind schedule due to the prep. work being done to prepare for sealcoating.
    2. The Road Commissioner also informed the Board that problems have arisen with equipment and fuel issues.
    3. The Board briefly discussed the Security Officer contractual services.
    4. The Road Commissioner informed the Board of a tentative settlement with Carrie-Scharf Co.
    5. The Road Commissioner then informed the Board of problems with equipment which is stored in the same area as the salt supply. A separate salt storage facility is being considered.
  • Tax Assessors Office
    1. Mrs. Alice Dailey presented an update on the current status of this office.
