• Building, Grounds, and Equipment
    1. It was noted that the office and maintenance building parking lots have been sealcoated by the Peoria County Highway Dept.
    2. There has also been work completed in the flower beds around the office building and additional trimming to the bushes and shrubs has been scheduled.
    3. It also was noted that an insect problem exists around the town hall. The Road Commissioner was requested to address this problem if possible.
  • Communications & Correspondence
    1. Those attending the meeting with Representative Mike Smith gave a brief report on the topics discussed.
    2. The information which was received from the Peoria County Health Dept. concerning the lead hazard removal project was reviewed.
    3. The Board also discussed two petitions for Special Use Variance requests.
  • Town Business
    1. The Supervisor informed the Board that a permit has been issued for the demolition of the burned house on Tuscarora Road.
    2. Also the Supervisor was requested to contact the Peoria County Health Dept. and/or the Zoning Dept. for further direction on the abandoned house on Wheeler Road.
  • Road Business
    1. The following information was brought before the Board, the mowing schedule which has been affected due to excess rain, the Carrie-Scharf issue which has not been settled to date, and the list of roads which have been sealcoated.
  • Tax Assessor Business
    1. The tentative tax assessor presented the Board with information on the present status of this office including information from the Peoria County Tax Assessor's office and a possible record system.
  • Visitors
    1. The Board recognized Mr. Roger Larson, the Peoria County Extension Director, who gave the Board an update on the fiscal difficulties being faced by the Extension Office as well as the reorganization process being implemented.
  • New Business
    1. The Board passed the prevailing wage ordinances for both the Town and the Road District of Hollis Township.
