• Town Building, Grounds, and Equipment
    1. The Board discussed the success of the treatment for the insect problem around the Town Hall Building.
  • Communications & Correspondence
    1. The Board reviewed the information received from Peoria County Director of Strategic Communications concerning the Citizen's Leadership Academy Fall Course. It was noted that application forms have been received if anyone is interested in attending. The application deadline is Aug. 31, 2010.
    2. The Board discussed the invitation received from the firm of Heyl, Royster, Voelker, and Allen attorneys to join a discussion concerning the Prevailing Wage Act. This will be held at the Cincinnati Township Road District Garage in South Pekin on Sept. 10, 2010. The Clerk was requested to notify the above firm of those who will be attending.
    3. The Board reviewed the request from the Peoria County Recycling Dept. for assistance for a waste tire collection day. After discussion it was agreed to participate in this program. The Clerk was requested to contact the County Dept. to schedule the earliest day possible.
    4. The Board reviewed the TOI 2011 Legislative forms which were received.
  • Town Business
    1. The Supervisor reported on his discussion with Dave Ryan Peoria County Supervisor of Assessments and the fees incurred for the work which has been done for Hollis Township.
    2. The Board approved the purchase of 2 desk chairs and 2 fans for the Town Hall Building.
  • Clerk Business
    1. The Clerk presented the Certificate from the TOIPAC to the Board.
    2. Also the minutes from the Special Hearing concerning the Vacation of Cilco Lane was given to the Board for review.
  • Road Business
    1. The Road Commissioner updated the Board on the Vacation of Cilco Lane.
    2. The Road Commissioner also informed the Board about the roadside mowing and the spraying being done to expose areas which are potential hazards to mowing equipment.
  • Trustees
    1. The Board discussed the billing for the striping which was done on Lafayette Road.
    2. Trustee Gerdes gave a brief report on the Local Officials day at the State Fair.
  • Tax Assessor
    1. The Tax Assessor gave a brief report on the status of her office. Duscussed were the properties being reviewed, the phone call location for contacting the assessor, a problem being experienced with the computor program & the letter received from the Peoria County Assessors Office for the costs experienced by their office for work which was done for Hollis Township.
