• Building, Grounds, & Equipment
    1. The Board discussed the replacement of the meeting room sink faucet & drain system and the problems experienced.
    2. The Board reviewed the current security system and some possible replacement systems.
  • Communications & Correspondence
    1. The Board discussed a letter from the Peoria County Recorder of Deeds announcing an open house to be held Thursday Oct. 14, 2010 from 4:30 to 6:00 P.M. at room G-04 in the Peoria County Court House at 324 Main St. Peoria Il. for those interested in attending.
    2. A memorandum was reviewed concerning the salary spikes used to pad a member's IMRF pension.
  • Town Business
    1. The annual Treasurer's report was reviewed.
    2. The Board was informed that the auditor will be attending the Oct. 28th 2010 meeting to go over their annual financial statements.
    3. The Board reviewed information concerning the need for a Truth in Taxation hearing for the adoption of the 2010 tax levies.
    4. The Supervisor informed the Board of his contact with Senator David Koehler concerning the establishment of a possible threshold for prevailing wage work.
    5. The Board discussed the property at 6915 Wheeler Road in Mapleton. It appears that this property may be occupied.
  • Road Business
    1. The Road Commissioner informed the Board that the roadside mowing is now under control and also that the Durapatcher is being used for road repairs.
    2. The Road Commissioner stated that the LaMarsh Creek Bridge Project is going to be put out for bids. The Bid opening is scheduled for Oct 10, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. at the town hall. He also stated he is conferring with Mr. Pat Meyer, Civil Engineer for assistance.
  • Trustee
    1. Trustee Gerdes updated the Board of the Township Association meeting held Sept. 29, 2010. Some of the items discussed were the prevailing wage act, the disposition of abandoned or deserted houses, the association's Christmas dinner and the upcoming meeting schedules and locations.
  • Old Unfinished Business
    1. The Board reviewed a letter to Brian Smith at T.O.I. and approved the sending of same by the Supervisor. This was concerning the establishment of a threshold for prevailing wage work.
    2. There was a brief review of the tire recycling project held Sept. 24, 2010.
  • Tax Assessor
    1. The tax assessor informed the Board that at this time the township contains approximately 1414 parcels of property with an assessed valucation of $61,171,470.00. She also explained the system used for the evaluation process and also that she will be doing commercial and industrial evaluations.
