• Building, Grounds, Equipment
  1. The Board discussed the installation of a surveillance camera on Town Hall grounds. Also discussed was the installation of fencing and gates on Hall grounds.
• Communications & Correspondence
  1. An update was given by those attending the Wed. 25th 2008 PCTOA meeting. A presentation was given by Judge Grawley on proper court procedure.
  2. The Supervisor explained the current and changing status of the Heart of Illinois Regional Port Dist. concerning the shuttered Caterpillar Foundry.
• Town Business
  1. The Board discussed the recent shutdown of the eastbound traffic at Rt.9 and Rt. 24 junction, due to railroad track repairs, and the problems involved at this time. Also it was noted that the Road Commissioner had to close South Cameron Lane due to safety concerns.
• Clerk Business
  1. The Clerk presented the TOI Salary Survey for review.
  2. Also presented was web site information for review.
• Road Business
  1. The Road Commissioner stated that bids will be let for the purchase of a new mowing tractor.
  2. The Road Commissioner also stated that a large amount of gravel had been used for repairs to S. Cameron Lane.
• Trustees
  1. Trestee Zeine explained some of the content of the Trustee training session held June 21, 2008.
• New Business
  1. Both the Prevailing Wage Ordinance #08-8 for the Township of Hollis and #08-9 for the Road Dist. of Hollis were passed.
