HOLLIS TOWNSHIP REGULAR MONTHLY BOARD MEETING

The Clerk announced the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag @ 7:00 P.M. The Supervisor called the meeting to order.

VISITORS: None.
CORRECTIONS OR ADDITIONS TO AGENDA: Additions to agenda may be discussed; however, if action is needed by the Board such action must be taken at another meeting when the topic is posted on agenda 48 hours prior to the meeting.
APPROVE MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING:
Prior to this scheduled meeting, copies of minutes from Tuesday February 16, 2021 at 7:00 P.M. was distributed to the board members for their review.

AUDIT CURRENT EXPENDITURES, Investments, Transfer of Funds, Budget Line Item Transfers:
1. MOTION to accept for payment of all Town Fund Invoices as presented to the Board on the Disbursement Summary March 16, 2021 in the amount of $5,431.52:

2. MOTION to accept for payment all General Road Fund Invoices as presented to the Board on the Disbursement Summary March 16,2021 in the amount of $23,511.16: Two additional Bills which came in after Agenda was prepared (Bonnell Ind. $19.20 and CMS $519.15) were approved to be paid at this meeting. MOTION by R. Zeine: second by R. Hodges :

VISITORS ADRESSING THE BOARD: None
TOWN BUILDING, GROUNDS & EQUIPMENT:
Supervisor Gerdes stated that trees and shrubbery remain in need of trimming.
COMMUNICATION & CORRESPONDENCE:
A request has been submitted by John and Natalee Rosenboom to the Peoria County Planning @ Zoning Dept. to rezone a section of property located at 8406 South Harkers Corner, Glasford, IL 61533.
TOWN BUSINESS – SUPERVISOR:
MOTION by R. Zeine to approve Norman J. Zentko as Trustee of Tuscarora Volunteer Fire Dept. for a three year term, second by R. Murray: Motion passed with all ayes.
CLERK BUSINESS:
1. Request the Board to approve the yearly Schedule of Township Meetings as presented. After discussion, the Board decided to change the Regular Township Meetings to the 3rd Thursday of the month at 7:00 P.M. beginning in May, request this change begin in April, or the Regular monthly meeting will have to be held after the Annual Town Meeting which will be held on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at 7:00 P.M.
MOTION by R. Zeine: second by R. Hodges to approve the yearly Schedule of Township Meetings as presented. Motion passed with all ayes.
2. Request a motion to approve the Agenda for the Annual Town Meeting to be held on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at 7:00 P.M. Must be approved no less than 15 days before the Annual Town Meeting.
MOTION by R. Hodges: second by R. Murray, to approve Agenda for the Annual Town Meeting to be held on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at 7:00 P.M. Motion passed with all ayes.
3. Request a Motion to approve the Agenda for the Annual Trustees Meeting to be held on Monday, April 12, 2021, at 7:00 P.M.
MOTION by R. Hodges: second by R. Zeine to approve the Agenda for the Annual Trustees Meeting to be held on Monday, April 12, 2021, at 7:00 P.M. Motion passed with all ayes.
4. Statements of Economic Interests must be filed yearly and must be filed by May 1, 2021 or will result in a $15.00 late fee. You may file online or give me your copy which was supposed to be sent to you, and I will submit it to the County Clerk’s Office.
PEORIA COUNTY HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT MOTOR FUEL TAX REPORT:
After the Monthly Meeting Agenda was posted, the Motor Fuel Tax report was received on March 16, 2021 just prior to this meeting. The Trustees elected to have it included in these minutes. The report is attached.

TAX ASSESSOR’S OFFICE – INFORMATION/ BUSINESS:
Due to the covid pandemic, senior real estate taxes remained the same without submitting new Freeze Forms in 2020. The senior real estate tax freeze forms will be required in 2021.
OLD UNFINISHED BUSINESS:
Road Commissioner D. Deckman stated the Hollis Township Building grounds will be redone this spring, with lawn repairs and unsightly shrubbery removed.
