TOWN BUILDING, GROUNDS & EQUIPMENT: Darcy Ray will mow and cut grass for same cost as last year

TOWN BUSINESS ~ Supervisor:

  1. Reminder on Statements of Economic Interests needing filed – R. Zeine reminded the board that these need to be completed by May 1, 2022. A few board members stated they had not received emails yet. R. Hodges stated she would send the link via email to them to help.
  2. Reminder on OMA completions needing done and copy to Clerk – R. Zeine reminded the board that these need to be completed. R. Hodges stated she would send the web address via email to the board.
  3. R. Zeine asked the board if anyone was interested in direct deposit, the Township can do this without cost and a voided check or deposit slip copy would be sufficient to get that started.
  4. R. Zeine presented paperwork to appoint Jack D. Rendleman as Trustee for the Tuscarora Fire Protection District for 3 years. W. Gerdes made a motion to appoint Jack D. Rendleman as Trustee for the Tuscarora Fire Protection District for 3-year term. R. Murray second. Motion passed with all Ayes
  5. R. Zeine stated 2 maps of the Township were purchased for $ 73.00 a piece showing all the roads of the Township. He had a map available for view at the meeting.

 

CLERK BUSINESS:

  1. Approve yearly Schedule of Township Meetings. R. Murray made a motion to accept the Schedule of Township Meeting for 2022-2023. W. Gerdes seconded. Motion passed all Ayes
  2. Motion to approve Agenda for the Annual Town Meeting being held on Tuesday, April 12, 2022  R. Murray made a motion to approve the Agenda for the Annual Town Meeting. W. Gerdes seconded. Motion passed with all Ayes
  3. Motion to approve Agenda for the Annual Trustees Meeting held on Monday, April 11, 2022  R. Murray made a motion to accept the Agenda for the Annual Trustees Meeting. M. Super seconded. Motion passed with all Ayes

ROAD BUSINESS ~ Highway Commissioner: D. Beckman stated with the increase in gas plus no money, they will be doing 1 and ½ roads in Country Estates only. They will be tilling and adding rock. D. Beckman stated there is about a $30,000 increase in costs. R. Murray asked if the contractors bid high to include possible increased pricing when projects are started. D. Beckman stated yes, if the actual costs are less, we pay less, but we can always refuse bids too.

Peoria County Highway Department Motor Fuel Tax Report : No report at this time

TRUSTEES/ Information / Business: None

TAX ASSESSOR’S OFFICE / Information / Business: A. Dailey asked if the board had received information from TOI about a bill the state has on the floor. Most trustees were aware of this and had received notice. A. Dailey stated she is waiting on a survey on the solar panels that has to go to the County. Also, she let the board know that property values could go up 5%.

 

OLD UNFINISHED BUSINESS:

  1. Discussion and Motion if needed for Lobby Days cost of $75.00

The only trustee planning to attend is W. Gerdes. R. Murray made a motion to spend the $75.00 for W. Gerdes to attend. S. Breedlove seconded.

Motion passed with all Ayes

 

NEW BUSINESS: None
