VISITORS ADDRESSING THE BOARD: Derek Roemer attending to observe
TOWN BUILDING, GROUNDS & EQUIPMENT: R. Zeine stated the flagpole is back up again. The shrubbery will be removed and R. Zeine asked the board to start thinking about how to dress up things around the building. A. Dailey asked if the hostas needed moved and R. Zeine stated they should be fine.

TOWN BUSINESS ~ Supervisor: R. Zeine 6 or 7 Townships sat down with the Health Department who is looking to add a referendum/questionnaire next year for the public to vote on consolidation of garbage pick up. The plan is to lower rates and limit the number of trucks on the roads.
R. Zeine reminded the board that direct deposit is available.
R. Zeine mentioned having dinner for the board and is working on his budget to see if this can be included.
R. Zeine explained the board audit reports and the line item for levy funds that is listed separately and will show a negative until tax dollars are received.
CLERK BUSINESS: R. Hodges stated she did an update on her laptop and it is now working correctly.
ROAD BUSINESS ~ Highway Commissioner: D. Beckman stated that the Township had to pick up garbage due to the garbage trucks did not close properly and garbage was blown out on the roads.
R. Zeine stated he could make a call to discuss this with the garbage company. D. Beckman said to remind them to also not drive on the edge of the road since this is causing damage.
D. Beckman is getting 200 feet of concrete gutters this year for road work and April 30th will be open bid date for white rock.
D. Beckman stated they will begin mowing any time now but trying to hold off as long as possible to help give time for the wildlife babies to mature.
Peoria County Highway Department Motor Fuel Tax Report : no report
TRUSTEES/ Information / Business: W. Gerdes attended the meeting in Springfield and had a chance to talk to a few representatives while he was there.
TAX ASSESSOR’S OFFICE / Information / Business: A. Dailey shared General Assembly negotiations and appropriations for Fiscal Year 23. $1.83 billion in Tax Relief for working families; Suspension on grocery tax for one year; Freeze on motor fuel tax for six months; Double the property tax rebate and Permanently expand the earned income tax credit.
