VISITORS ADDRESSING THE BOARD: None
TOWN BUILDING, GROUNDS & EQUIPMENT: Russ cut trees back behind the building and stated there is poison ivy out the back door that needs to be killed.
COMMUNICATIONS & Correspondence: Thursday, July 28, 2022, is Education Drive Event in Bloomington. W. Gerdes made a motion to approve the $50.00 expenditure for anyone wanting to attend. S. Breedlove seconded. Motion passed with all Ayes.
TOIPAC is raising funds for Political Action Committee and is offering purchase for apparel. Cost cannot be funded by Township funds.
Township Officials of Illinois announcement for Annual Educational Conference will be November 13-15, 2022 in Springfield IL
TOWN BUSINESS ~ Supervisor: R. Zeine explained the warrant slips for direct deposit will be printed monthly if board do want them and to please let him know.
R. Zeine mentioned notifications have been mailed out letting residence know to be careful about signing third-party contracts for power/utilities.
CLERK BUSINESS: None
ROAD BUSINESS ~ Highway Commissioner: D. Beckman stated we have a contract with Porter Brothers, but they cannot do the project at this time due to an insurance bonding issue and the seconded bidder is $12,000 more.
The board discussed the hall parking lot can wait but D. Beckman stated Country Estates cannot wait so we will need to go with the higher bidder. The board discussed looking at sealcoating the parking lot and D. Beckman will check on that.
Boom mower bearings failed and having a hard time getting bearings and the ones he received were incorrect, so had to reorder. May have to use Sourcewell with the State to see what he can find since the cost to replace this mower is very expensive but unfortunately it will need done.
Peoria County Highway Department Motor Fuel Tax Report : No report
TRUSTEES/ Information / Business: W. Gerdes asked if mowing was getting done for the complaints that were received. R. Zeine stated Lafayette was done and the one on Ridgebrook is still high and he has not heard from the maintenance company that is handling that property.
TAX ASSESSOR’S OFFICE / Information / Business: A. Dailey stated she is receiving quite a few complaints about taxes but unfortunately, she cannot do much without appraisals.
OLD UNFINISHED BUSINESS: None
NEW BUSINESS: The board agreed to increase the Bartonville Bank CD at renewal.
