3. Joint Bridge Fund Invoices as presented to the Board on the Disbursement Summary January 19, 2023, in the amount of ( $ 2,097.00 )
VISITORS ADDRESSING THE BOARD: None
TOWN BUILDING, GROUNDS & EQUIPMENT: The large bush has been removed by the hall and the furnace/air conditioner unit has been replaced and is programmable for temperature. Darcy will be mowing in 2023 with a slight raise to pay for her insurance.
COMMUNICATIONS & Correspondence: A Thank you card was received from Road and Town employees for holiday gift cards. TOI sent out notification from the IL Dept of Human Rights, Governor, Raul, and February 4th – 20th. Payroll will be processed. Russ asked if the board would like to move the meeting date to February 23rd. The board agreed to move the date.
Russ discussed an email received about hall rental. The hall will be used for official meetings, but not for rentals for parties or other events that would change insurance, cleaning and monies exchanged.
Extended COVID 19 meeting regulations.
Edwards station is closed and a new company, Vista will be putting batteries in the plant.
Russ mentioned the Clerk’s father-in-law passed and would like to send a memorial donation. The board agreed.
CLERK BUSINESS: Web page contact information will be adjusted to add Township and Clerk emails.

ROAD BUSINESS ~ Highway Commissioner: Denny stated the tandem listed on the bills was for snowplow blades. He stated we have been very fortunate on the snow this year, but since the salt was ordered, even if not used, it will still be invoiced and paid on the amount ordered.
Finishing up installation on the shop building and would like to install fans.
Peoria County Highway Department Motor Fuel Tax Report : No updated report
TRUSTEES/ Information / Business: Bill and Russ are going to pipeline training on January 31st.
Bill asked the outcome for the GA cases. Russ stated the applicant reapplied.
TAX ASSESSOR’S OFFICE / Information / Business: Alice has a meeting next week and her boss that there are properties showing bad condition so taxes are lower, so he is wanting the assessor to view these homes to see if assessed values could be raised. Alice asked the board what they are wanting from her. The board agreed with Alice that using square footage of house and ground is what should be uses to value property.
Alice states the senior official’s workshop will be held April 5th for all hazard preparedness.
The township has 3 mobile homes and Alice asked if the board was aware of any others. Russ asked why they needed this information and Alice stated they are taxed different. Fritch’s Park was mentioned that people live there all year long, so Alice will check on this area. Alice stated she found one that is not being reported, but the resident stated they do not live there all the time.
Alice stated a resident asked about regulations on non-highway vehicles. The board stated we have no ordinances and that we follow County and State regulations.
