VISITORS ADDRESSING THE BOARD: No visitors

TOWN BUILDING, GROUNDS & EQUIPMENT: Denny has started cleaning up the area around the building.

COMMUNICATIONS & Correspondence: The Township previously signed up with Energy Harbor for the electric supplier still billed via Ameren which is 10.9 cents now. Russ signed up with Eligo this time, which has cost of 4.59 cents which is 5.5 cents cheaper than the other company.
.
TOWN BUSINESS ~ Supervisor: Russ shared information with the board that if Township property or land is going to be leased, it would need to be approved at the Annual Town Meeting.

CLERK BUSINESS: Rhonda is working on caucus information.

ROAD BUSINESS ~ Highway Commissioner: Denny stated he does not want to tear up Stranz Road, so he is having them “line” it. The fuel tank was broken into at the maintenance building. He received a call from AG-Land about heavy usage between 3 or 4 in the morning and the police were notified. Denny will be setting up cameras to help with future issues. The insurance company finally returned Denny’s calls about the accident on Tuscarora in July, and we should not have a problem being paid. Denny received a call from a resident on Hickory Street who stated there is a drug house on the road and the resident called the police; so, Denny explained there is not much we can do about it and calling the police is his best option if further issues. Denny stated he we have plenty of salt for the winter season. He did receive a call from Com-Ed, and they would like to put a staging area at the Township for their helicopter since they are cutting trees. His only concern would be the power lines, but if they feel this isn’t a concern, he has no problem with this.

TRUSTEES/ Information / Business: Rich stated he found information that Wolston Homes has information about the cemetery. Alice will contact them to see if information can be found for the couple looking for information.

TAX ASSESSOR’S OFFICE / Information / Business: Russ asked about the number of calls Alice is receiving from residents. She explained many of these are due to farmland changes. Alice took Preferential Assessments for training. She discussed that the state does not have rates on wind power or battery storage yet. She also explained that if residents have solar that make money on, they would be considered commercial and would be assessed differently. Alice also took an ethics class during this training.

OLD UNFINISHED BUSINESS:

NEW BUSINESS: Discuss salaries: Russ reviews the amount from Perspective Magazine. Salaries will be set next month. The board discussed when raises were the last time, so they had some information to help with decisions for next month.

MOTION to adjourn made by _W. Gerdes _; second _S. Breedlove_____. The motion
passed unanimously.
