VISITORS ADDRESSING THE BOARD:
Bill Gerdes said there were 10-12 people at the coffee get together in February and It went well. Alice asked if it had been scheduled who was supposed to bring treats. Russ informed her that the township and park district will continue to provide coffee and doughnuts, but, if someone wants to bring something for dessert they can.
TOWN BUILDING, GROUNDS & EQUIPMENT:
Talked with Matt Beale and we will wait a little while before we replant a couple of bushes by the entry way. We don’t want anything that gets in the way of weed control.
COMMUNICATIONS & CORRESPONDENCE:
Russ had no correspondence.
TOWN BUSINESS – Supervisor:
None
CLERK BUSINESS: Clerk stated that the new computer is in and she will be getting it set up soon,
ROAD BUSINESS – Highway Commissioner:
We’ve never settled with Ameren on S. Lafayette. He did have a call from one of the engineers for another project. He thinks they would like to settle and get it off the books. He will try one last letter to see if we can come up with a figure we can agree on.
He is looking at bids for seal coating. UMC got the bid because Porter Brothers went out of business. This will cost us a few more thousand dollars ($1100 to $1200 to notify people.) We’ll sweep and the total will be $65,000. Hopefully the rest of our salt is in. Every time he orders they send more than he orders.
TRUSTEES / Information / Business:
Nothing
TAX ASSESSOR’S OFFICE / Information / Business:
Legislation coming out that there are at least 16 legislations for assessors. Alice has to figure out what they are redacting from GIS. She said that her printer went down and couldn’t buy another one like it. It is an HP. Russ told her to go to Staples and buy a new one and hook it up. It’s two years old so it is way over the warranty, and a new one is around $300.
OLD UNFINISHED BUSINESS:
Nothing
NEW BUSINESS:
Nothing
