• Town Building, Grounds and Equipment
  1. The Board reviewed the report on termite inspection done by Liberty Pest Control and decided not to commit to a yearly inspection and/or treatment at this time.
• Communications & Correspondence
  1. The Board heard from those attending the Local Officials day at the Illinois State Fair.
  2. Also the Board reviewed the information received from TOIPAC and then submitted personal donations to TOIPAC for the current year participation.
  3. A notice was also presented to the Board for a seminar to be held at Cruger Township in Eureka, Il. on Wed. Sept. 2, 2009 for those interested in attending.
  4. Information was also reviewed for the Fall 2009 Civic Leadership Program
  5. A notice was reviewed for a variance from the Peoria County Dept. of Planning and Zoning for a hearing to construct a pole frame building at 5024 Chippewa Rd. This is to be held on Sept. 10, 2009.
• Town Business
  1. The Board was informed of the completion of the annual audit ending on March 31, 2009.
  2. The Supervisor commented on his attendance at the Supervisor's Zone Meeting held July 31, 2009.
  3. The Board discussed a follow-up letter from the Board of Review of assessments concerning tax assessment complaint.
• Road Business
  1. The Road Commissioner stated that the road crew is pouring concrete gutters on Hollis, Tuscarora, Summit, and LaFayette roads.
  2. He commented on the Carrie-Scharf dispute and stated he will be meeting with the township attorney the week of August 31-Sept. 4, 2009.
  3. He stated also that plans are being made for painting traffic stripes on some roadways.

  1. The township has received a letter from IMRF confirming the rate for 2010 to be 12.03%
