- Town Building, Grounds, and Equipment
- The Board was informed that Kevin Gray has completed the requested repair work on the town hall building
- Communication and Correspondence
- The information received concerning the State Fair in Springfield and the Duquoin Fair was discussed and the number of reservations needed was noted. The clerk was requested to call for the needed tickets.
- The Board briefly discussed changing the frequency of the fiscal yearly audit due to budget constraints. Additional discussion will be scheduled for a future meeting.
- Town Business
- The Supervisor provided information about the abandoned house on Wheeler Road. It was noted that some work has been done to the house but only the front portion of the lot is being maintained. No action by the Board at this time.
- Clerk Business
- The Clerk mentioned that a copy of Certification has been received verifying Alice B. Dailey as a Certified Illinois Assessing Officer.
- Road Business
- The Road Commissioner informed the Board of the following: The vacation of Cilco Lane is scheduled for Aug. 16th, 2010, that the mowing is still a problem due to rain, that reports are being received from the surveillance of the Peking Bottoms area, and that some problems exist concerning tree cutting along some roadways.
- Trustees
- The Board discussed information received concerning activities being held at Leisure Oaks Park. No Board action at this time.
- Old business
- The Board approved the appointment of Alice B. Dailey to fill the vacancy in the office of Hollis Township Tax Assessor.
- New Business
- The Board approved the payment for those wishing to attend the Township Officals Annual Educational Conference in Springfield, Illinois on Nov. 7-9, 2010.
